I first met Johnny early 2000. I have seen him with fans in many autograph sessions and can attest to how giving he is with fans. He is genuinely interested in the fans and tries to make sure that each person who paid their hard earned money to attend his show goes away satisfied.
As he becomes more famous the best way to meet Johnny is to join the Tartan Army Fan club and then sign up for any scheduled Meet & Greets.

You really should join the fan club!, you will have a better chance of meeting Johnny through the meet and greet sign ups than any where else, not to mention exclusive club member only bulletins on his appearances. *grin* Go for it you know you wanna be an "Army Brat". Sue |

I was fortunate to get a Meet & Greet with Johnny tonight in Langley. I was nervous beforehand not having a clue what to say to him. I didn't have any great, interesting pre-thoughtout questions. Johnny was very welcoming. Obviously comfortable doing the whole M & G thing. He signed my Kicking Stones CD jacket and I got my photo taken with him. I hunted high and low and couldn't find my tartan scarf. (It'll turn up when I'm not looking for it). I would've loved for Johnny to sign it with 2008 on it. It stuck with me that he doesn't just put his arm around you for a photo but it's as if he's totally cognizant of what it means to a fan to be in his company. I asked Johnny about "Ruby" and if it would be on the next CD. Unfortunately not. It was only a funclub download. Thank goodness I'm in the fanclub and have it downloaded (it is my favourite Johnny song) I've seen Johnny in concert previously but my 3 friends had not. Johnny has himself 3 new fans tongiht! My friends were in awe and I know they'll talk about tonight's experience for a long time to come THANK YOU Johnny for sharing your amazing gift of voice and musicianship with us. I love you!

Hi Brenda, this is Pam I was at the langley M & G also, what a thrill to get to meet him personally, he is soooo nice. Anyway I am trying to get everyone I can to send an -e-mail to the Merrit Music Mountainfest people to get Johnny there. Just log on to the Merrit Music web site to contacts and send them an e-mail that we want him there. Don't know if you are a mountainfest fan, I was never interested until 3 years ago and got talked into going, endless entertainment, good weather, great people. I loved it. That is where I first saw Johnny 2 years ago and have been hooked ever since. If he is there this coming July it will be awesome. |

Hi Pam. I haven't been to Merritt but now that the format has changed it certainly sounds appealing (didn't sound so great in past years with all the partiers with no self-control). I'll help you along in your quest and send off an email. |

Brenda: We have never had a bad experience in Merrit. The entertainment is top notch. Last year Sugarland and the Judds were worth the price of admission alone. Weather is always great, lots to do. First year I was really not looking forward to going but I had so much fun couldn't wait for the next year and now they have gotten rid of Campground C it is even better. If you do decide to go let me know and we can hook up. Tickets go on sale Oct. 17 but you have lots of time to decide. |

Dorothy, Got my tickets today. In case I go alone I got 2nd row and if I go with a friend I'll be in 7th row. I wonder how the camping is (tent)? I'm not sure if I should stay on site or book in a provincial campground. I am a dedicated camper so no worries for me in that regard. I'm totally stoked. Couldn't concentrate at work today after I bought the tickets. I've been in Kenny's fanclub for a few years and saw him in Nashville in July with a group of "Over 40s" I had "met" via his fanclub. Now if Keith Urban would show up I'd be 3 for 3 for Merritt. Woohoo! |
