Thank goodness for Satellite TV in BC watched it at 8:00 pm on the CBC channel from back East don't have to stay up until 11. Great interview, about time the media woke up to what a great star we have and as always he was gracious and charming. Gotta love that Johnny. Awsome voice, awesome person..... |

That looks like a pretty good spot - not too far to walk but far enough away to sleep at night. Close to us, look forward to getting to know you. Gotta go and set the TV for Johnny's interview on CBC. Talk later.. Pam |

Brenda - one more thing forgot to mention in my above post, the spaces marked for tents would be on grass and opposed to the standard trailer sites which would be partial grass and the rest gravel. They are both the same price so do not see why you could not take your pick. Just a thought. Pam |

Brenda: I am looking at the map. #37 is a quieter spot and the distance between the two spots is not that far. As for a corner, we prefer the corner. not boxed in between two trailers, gives us a bit more room but we have a big trailer and at night there is no traffic. only people returning to their site on foot and they are usually pretty quiet. But #55 is on the main street going straight through and everyone would be walking along it at the end of the shows to get to their spot. I would definitely call ticketmaster regarding where you camp. Don't see why you couldn't have a tent on a standard site. Last year the campsite was half empty but that was because they had changed everything and a lot of people stayed away because of the changes but we liked it better, previous years every spot was taken, don't know what it will be like this year. Pam. |

Brenda, I would definitely get on a spot there are not a lot of tenting sites in any section your only other option is to stay at the Merrit municipal camp ground, it is cheaper but the you have to take a shuttle or drive back and forth every day and that is a pain in the butt. Nice to be onsite so you can take a nap, eat, party whatever when you want to and not be waiting for a ride or walking forever to get to your vehicle. If you are not sure about any spots let me know and I will fill you in as best I can. |

QUOTE: CindyGI'm in Langley and I'm game for anything! Not sure how many Tartan Army members will be in Merritt but even a few of us can make a lot of noise! LOL!! Cindy, I totally agree, don't know what we will do but have lots of time to plan something, if anyone has any ideas let us know. About all I can come up with is I plan to have a big sign across our trailer announcing Johnny Reid fans only or Country Male artist of the year - Johnny Reid or something to that effect. |

If you are looking for a site, we personally prefer Section #9 close to the bridge leading to the stage grounds, close to the river (for cooling off during the day) start at 1st st and work you way back, have never tented there but this is a fairly quiet section and not as far to walk back to late at night as some of the other sections. Section 10 is the old campground C closer but also very loud as it is beside the stage area if you go to the other side (east of the River) you are closer to the shuttle buses if you want to take them into Merritt for the day or whatever. If you want to give me a call sometime my number is 604-465-7115 and don't worry about age, I am also over 40 - well over but as my grandmother used to say I am as old as I feel and a little older than my teeth. We need to get Cindy on track with us as well, I live in Maple Ridge, where are you located, how about Cindy? |

We have our campsite - it is in Section 9 on 1st street #70 we are in a 35ft Fuzion 5th Wheel the one with the Johnny Reid music playing. Let me know when you decide how long you are going for. Have you been there before? Four days is worth it. We have always had really pleasant surprises with the calibre of entertainment. Last year a 12 year old girl from Langley (I think her name was Peyton) blew everyone away, you just never know how great some of the talent is until you see them live. Never hear of Big & Rich till I saw them at Merrit and Sugarland last year was worth the total price of admission. If you do want the 4 day pass just make sure you decide before early bird sales are cut off in December or you will have to pay more. |

They have been advertising on JRFM and also on the Merrit Musicfest website they both state Johnny and Kenny will be on Saturday night. If you are going for 4 days get your tickets now before they go up in price in December, also the best camping spots go early, especially if you need a wide spot like we did. |

Got my 4 day passes yesterday and great camping spot in section 9. Johnny will be on Saturday night. I am sooo happy can hardly wait. Wish I could have afforded VIP but a little out of my price range. Will be running Saturday morning with our chairs for front row of general seating. |

Brenda: We have never had a bad experience in Merrit. The entertainment is top notch. Last year Sugarland and the Judds were worth the price of admission alone. Weather is always great, lots to do. First year I was really not looking forward to going but I had so much fun couldn't wait for the next year and now they have gotten rid of Campground C it is even better. If you do decide to go let me know and we can hook up. Tickets go on sale Oct. 17 but you have lots of time to decide. |

Hi Brenda, this is Pam I was at the langley M & G also, what a thrill to get to meet him personally, he is soooo nice. Anyway I am trying to get everyone I can to send an -e-mail to the Merrit Music Mountainfest people to get Johnny there. Just log on to the Merrit Music web site to contacts and send them an e-mail that we want him there. Don't know if you are a mountainfest fan, I was never interested until 3 years ago and got talked into going, endless entertainment, good weather, great people. I loved it. That is where I first saw Johnny 2 years ago and have been hooked ever since. If he is there this coming July it will be awesome. |
