I woke up in Zurich Switzerland with news from home that I have been nominated for 4 2010 Juno Awards.

Words can not express how I am feeling right now. I am truly humbled to be nominated amongst the other artists in the categories.

I am heading to New York City for a couple of days before the shows in Ontario this weekend. I have been in NYC a lot latley and really starting to enjoy the city, it's people, culture, and most of all the rhythm!

I've got some coffee brewing while I pack my suitcase and grab my guitar.

September 12, 2009 Wish You Were Here / One day in and already so much to say

We arrived in Vancouver for Country Music Week late this afternoon. Our flight was delayed so we were late to rehearsals, but made it there eventually.

The set for the awards show this year is STUNNING. I am excited to perform my current single Dance With Me. 

This evening we were able to enjoy the festivities of the gala dinner. I am always taken back by how everyone is able to come together for this event and celebrate accomplishments from not just the current year, but from decades of the music industry.

I am honored to be able to say that we were presented with the award for Songwriter of the Year (A Woman Like You) and Top Selling Album for Dance With Me. Both of these were extra special to me as I was able to share the celebration with my producer and co writer of A Woman Liek You Brent Maher, and both of my parents.

It is all very humbling, and I thank each and every one of you for your continued support.

Tomorrow will prove to be even busier with media and fan fest. I look forward to seeing you there!

Its 1am now, and time for me to get some sleep!!!

Its 4am in Nashville. My wife and I are on our way to the airport to fly to Vancouver.

This weekend will be a busy one, but I am anxious to get there.

First stop when we land - Tim Hortons!

August 17, 2009 Wish You Were Here / Maggie

Some of you may know this song from the bonus track on one of my independant CDS many years ago.

We no longer have those CDS in print, but have received a bunch of requests to re run them.

Unfortunatly, we will not be able to print more, but I wanted to share this song with you at this time.

I grew up listening to this song, and originally recorded it for one of the most important people in my life. My Grandmother.

For those of you that know me. You will know that I was extremley close with my Grandmother. She lived in Scotland, so I did not get to see her as much as I would have liked in my adult life, but she has remained my rock since I moved to Canada.

We talked every Sunday, and visited with each other when ever we could.

I lost my Gran recently.

She has moved on to a better place and will remain close in my heart.

This song is dedicated to her.

I hope you like it.
