To fans of fiddle music, Natalie MacMaster needs no introduction. Over a recording career now spanning 25 years, this Order of Canada recipient has released 11 albums that have notched sales of over 200,000 copies, won two JUNO and eleven East Coast Music Awards and been nominated for a Grammy. Natalie is in great demand as a charismatic performer, and, in addition to her collaboration with Johnny on “Go Tell It On The Mountain” she has collaborated with artists as diverse as Yo-Yo Ma (on the Grammy-winning album Songs of Joy & Peace), Alison Krauss, Jesse Cook, and Bela Fleck. Natalie is thrilled to be joining Johnny Reid on his “What Love Is All About Tour” and to share with Johnny’s fans her Cape Breton roots and her musical insight into the remarkable place, people, and culture that has shaped her life, music and family. In her first collaboration with her talented husband Donnell Leahy the duo released “One” (Linus Entertainment) produced by the legendary Bob Ezrin. “One,” debuted at #1 on the US SoundScan World Music Albums chart.
Rugged, raspy and reserved, JJ Shiplett is a true artist in every sense of the word. Unapologetically himself, the Alberta born singer-songwriter and performer is both bold in range and musical creativity and has a passion and reverence for the art of music and performance that has captured the attention of music fans across the country. Destined for a critically praised career ahead, Shiplett is currently putting the finishing touches on his self-penned and produced debut album. Expect to hear lots from JJ Shiplett in 2016.
Raised in Northern Alberta, Aaron Goodvin had his first taste of stage life when he entered a singing contest at a local mall at 12 years-old. Once he heard the applause from the crowd, he knew what he wanted to do and no one was going to get in his way. Over the years, he built a local reputation as a dynamic performer with a rock solid portfolio of songs. Aaron recently joined the Warner Music Canada artist roster and made his debut with the single “Knock On Wood.”
